This experience reminds me of when I first discovered JPop and, years later, KPop. Just when I was wondering, “Does music like this still exist?”. I stumbled upon this song and I feel like it’s been years since a pop-song has touched me to tears like this.
There are plenty of catchy pop songs you can bop your head to, but then there are truly authentic tracks like this one. Not every ballad captures genuine emotions, but this song certainly does. What I appreciate and find unique is that some of the biggest artists in China are over 40, even approaching their 50s. It’s refreshing to see!
